With the acclaimed concert of the tindersticks the New Fall Festival 2012 came to its end. At this point we want to take the opportunity to say thank you. Not only to the artists but to you. The last week wouldn’t have been possible without you. Therefore the festival in 2012 was varied again: Whether the sweeping champer pop by Get Well Soon, the tricky electronics by Alva Noto & Ryuichi Sakamoto or Dillons rarely presented mixture of Techno and Chanson: We had artists for every taste.
After the festival is known as before the festival, the date for the third New Fall Festival is already scheduled. From the 16th October through the 20th October 2013 Düsseldorfs classical venues are again going to be the home of first-class pop music. We already look forward to you. So if you always want to be up to date and do not want to miss any news then you might want to consider submitting to our newsletter.read on

Third day of New fall Festival offered a stylistic variety that could have hardly been more different: While WHY? and Stealing Sheep did everything to please the tastes of Indie-Pop Fans, Caligola performed a stunning set that kept no one in the Tonhalle on their seats. With great pep and a bunch of hits on their side, Gustaf Norén, Björn DIxgard and their companions showed, that they could enjoy life on stage without the stylistic boundaries that come from Indie Rock outfit Mando Diao.
Tonight, we are looking forward to Electro-Pop-Chanteuse Dillon and Düsseldorf´s finest, Stabil Elite at Robert-Schumann-Saal. Tickets are still available at the box office.read on

Second Day with Get Well Soon and Alva Noto & Ryuichi Sakamoto - Tonight: Caligola + Stealing Sheep & WHY?
Last night, Get Well Soon proved, that there is probably no german band, that fits the concept of the festival better than Konstantin Gropper and his companions. The sextett offered a great set and the audience replied in the best way possible: with standing ovations. Earlier, the lovely duo Dear Reader opened the show at Robert-Schumann-Saal with style and charme, playing a best-of off their two albums, with a third one soon to follow.
At the Tonhalle, the sound couldn´t have been more different: Alva Noto & Ryuichi Sakamoto played a gig with a remakable intensity. The most fascinating part about it was probably the interplay between three elements: Sakamotos delicate way of playing the piano, Alva Notos dodgy loops and a led-wall, that offered stunning visuals.
Tonight, we continue with two concerts. At Robert-Schumann-Saal, Stealing Sheep and WHY? will perform, while the Tonhalle will see a rare show of Caligola, the all-star-band by the two Mando-Diao-frontmen Gustaf Norén and Björn Dixgård.read on

Great kick off at the Tonhalle - Tonight: 2 concerts with Get Well Soon and Alva Noto & Ryuichi Sakamoto
The Notwist offered a great start to this years New Fall Festival. The band from Weilheim celebrated a special set with a wind section accompanying them, playing fan favorites like ´Pilot´, ´One With The Freaks´ and the beautiful ´Consequence´. Their support, Ewert And The Two Dragons didn´t disappoint as well. In fact, the quartett from Talinn, Estonia, gained a lot of new fans.
Tonight, we are glad to present even two highlights. Get Well Soon will play the first concert at Robert-Schumann-Saal, while Alva Noto & Ryuichi Sakamoto will offer a rare gig at Tonhalle. A few tickets for both concerts are still available at the box office.read on
